Our living room windowsill is a learning place. Rowan loves to line up his cars, letters, farm animals, and today shapes. I love watching him chatter away as he talks to himself, naming all the shapes. Then he'll turn to me and quiz me, "Whaz tat?" "It's a star," I say. He picks up another and another until I get them all right. Then it's my turn to quiz him.
